22re hesition
« on: Sep 29, 2005, 06:09:15 PM »
i have a question about a little problem i have with my 22re truck, i have the k&n filter charger kit, a new cleaned efi top intake deal with the efi on top, no cat with 2 1/4 exhaust with flowmaster, but like when i am driving steady down the freeway or road or whatever i can push the throttle to the floor and the power isnt there but when i let off the gas a little it goes faster, oh and it a fairly new motor about 10 to 12 thou. on it maybe, so can anybody tell me what could be doing this,  jay from lc told me to start at the tps so....... :dunno:

Definately sounds like the tps wasn't set up properly.

Well, this sounds more like a miscalibration with the amount of air or fuel thats getting in there. Faulty TPS's usually have problems related with idle and cranking, from what I've seen. If its bad at speed, then you would notice it elsewhere, unless its just bad at that spot on the pot inside of it...

I would first check with the AFM. Has it ever been opened? It doesnt take much moisture for one of those to go bad-

Pull a couple plugs and see if its running lean or too rich..

Thanks
