bought a yota
« on: Sep 26, 2005, 07:01:28 PM »
i have been looking for months to buy my first car and i decided to make it a toyota.  during that time i search forever trying to find an 85 efi and found one 3 weeks ago and bought it.  i have done a little work to it mostly winging it.  i have taken off the bed and put in a rear locker, that was a pregnant dog especially for a noob to the differential world.  i now need to find myself some chevy springs and buy crossover.  if anyone else has suggestions for what to do i would like some.  i still need to put in my front locker and make th flatbed so the next 2 weekends are booked.

Around these parts pictures are worth more than a thousand words. So let me be the first to say :worthless: Have fun with the new yota though, sounds like it will be a good one! :bumpinbutts:

i am in lynnwood WA, it is just north of seattle if you dont know.  the bed was rotten and the tailgate didnt work right so it had lost half od its purpose.  it had a few holes and was covered in rust on the inside.  thank goodness the bad has only one spot of rust 2 inches in diameter.  it is sound otherwise and just needs to be built up now.  more pics to come as stuff goes together.
