Alright guys, I straight up blew my rear end to hell on my last wheelin trip. Since im not that smart and decided to beat the crap out of my daily driver, I immediately decided it was time to set up the 4.88s just sittin in my garage. Settin them up was no big deal and i popped the third member into my rear axle. I broke it in properly and have driven on it for about 2 weeks. Now, suddenly today my rear end decided to produce an awful grinding noise. I pulled the diff, inspected the axleshafts, and swapped in a stock diff. This made no change in the noise so i decided to do the old tire in the air wheel bearing check. Both seemed fine. I had to drive the truck to class in the evening and the noise got progressively worse. When I arrived home a couple of hours ago I saw a had diff fluid in my brake drum. I took off the drum but unfortunately I know nothing at all about brake drums and their removal. Maybe something got damaged in the diff install? I know the diff seal on the axle failed but does anyone know what is the cause of this? Please help me because I now have to call in to work tommorrow due to my lack of ride. I don't yet know what to do, but some tech on drums would be kickass. Thanks y'all
