Fordyce 8-20
« on: Aug 19, 2005, 06:01:18 PM »
Wondering if anyone's gonna be up at Fordyce tomorrow (Saturday the 20th)
I'm heading up there by myself, hoping there will be atleast a few rig's up there just in case.

I'll be going in from Eagle Lakes exit side and probably going a bit past first river crossing (just a day run) just got the rig running and wanna take it out and make sure it doesn't crap out on me.

Id love to go but I have to work tomorrow!!!

BTW, Geno I saw you while I was on my way to work today! I was at the stoplight of E5th and Mangrove. I was right next to another yota with a flatbed, I think it was gray and red on 35" BFG MTs. I knew it was you when I saw some new 40" Iroks under it and it was gray... At least, I sure hope it was you.
RIP Kyota.... you are the man

GET IT!!!

I was there watching Toy on 40's go through.  He blew a hydrolic line for his steering and had to walk out and drive back to Georgetown the napa and pick-up another line.  He got it back up and running and hit the box.  Hit the wall at the end of Little sluice in 2nd gear and rolled it.  It was funny.  But he always seems to do that when i don't have my camera on.  I would have gone through LS but my toy was broken, broke some important stuff in the front axle.  I need to pull it apart and see what i broke.

I still need to go all the way through fordyce.  The last time i started at the beginning i couldn't make driveline hill.  my toy didn't have a front locker and only had 35's.  I hope to make another trip before my toy gets torn apart and rebuilt.

I would like to make another Fordyce trip before the marlin roundup.  I would like to make a weekend out of it though and run on the whole trail.

yea same here, once my idle problem gets fixed i'll post up a weekend run atleast a week before hand so we can get some more people in on it.

Me and Geno walked up driveline hill with little trouble.. we both took the right side. I had to attempt it twice and the last time I just really laid into it

Btw Geno my tire iron fell out and i forgot to get it out of your bed, haha.. no big deal i'll get it next time I see you.

Over Rev, I got your DC we were going threw Penn Valley when you called and I knew it was you but for some stupid reason my speaker was turned OFF on the phone so I couldnt hear :pokinit:. I turned it back on and beep'd you back a few times but you didn't reply so I figured you guys were already up there.

I'm getting a buddy to host the video's (hopefully tonight) and i'll post up links!

Remind you, Rob (my buddy) took all the pictures.... this was his first time ever wheeling.

Didn't get any good shots of the trip but some nice scenic views.
