R150F + 4 Cyl. T-Case
« on: Aug 09, 2005, 06:11:56 PM »
Do I need an adapter to put these together?

If I do, I would rather buy another tranny to do the swap because I will be putting a dual case in the truck. So I guess my other question is, what tranny should I buy that will bolt up to my 3.0L?  :help:

The only other yota trans that will easily bolt up to the 3.slow is a r151f.  It'll also bolt up to a 23 spline 4 cyl case directly.  But for the cost of a r151f you could buy 2 adapters to mate a 4 cyl case to a r150f.....

You could also swap the output housing on the r150f to one from a r151f but then again cost would suck.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

I'm thinking of doing a Chevy 350 swap, should I just get one of the older transmissions and do a swap instead?
I already have the adapter plate that puts a chevy bellhousing on a toyota tranny, but I'm not sure what one it bolts up to.

I already have a stock 4 cyl t-case in my basement, since it was a spare for my old truck and I sold it awhile ago.

I have the adapter to put a toy t-case behind a TH350 if you are interested.
That's how I roll

You can get everything you need for dual t-cases from marlin for about $1500-2K(both adapters and dual 32 spline output shafts, or buy one already built).

That is very expencive, and then I would have to get it shipping to Canada, I will be buying my dual case adapted from Sky's Manufacturing proboly because the shipping will be cheaper... I will also get a quote from Marlin too.

What tranny do I need to replace the R150F? Is there any way to use my R150F bellhousing on a W56 or something?

if you do the 350 swap, run a chevy SM465 and just buy a toy t-case adaptor from OTT(they're in canada) :beerchug:

With the price of gas the way it is I don't know if I really want to go bigger, I know where there is a good deal on a Supra engine.
