pedal/steering collum support braket diff
« on: Aug 22, 2003, 07:06:27 PM »
I know its not a how to but I hope it will help someone, someday :grinhat:

The one on the left is from my 82 and I'm pretty sure that it is the same as any other 1st gen(79-83) toy. The other braket is out of my 85 which I also think is the same as any other 2nd gen(84-88pickup 89 runner) Becuase it relies on the dash design. Now the one on the left (1st gen) is a 2 piece design(clutch pedal braket and brake pedal braket are seprate) and serves as a pedal braket and steering collum support. The braket on the right (2nd gen) is a one piece design and does NOT support the steering collum.

EDIT: oh and btw the one in the middle is a empty Dr Pepper can :moon:

don't quote me, but isn't the '82-83 gas pedal more like the 84-up design, really small?

Why wouldn't you use the center bar in the dash swap?  Did you use the old one?
