Rear DriveShaft length Question....
« on: Jun 09, 2003, 06:27:45 PM »
Does anyone know the length difference for an 85 std cab long bed straight driveshaft -vs- an xcab longbed straight driveshaft? I have put approx. 4" lift in my trucks *(Springs -n- shackles)* and my rear driveshaft is about to come apart. Oh I also swapped the "crap" auto tranny out for a R151F turbo 5speed, if that helps.

Any info would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks in advance...

The excab & longbed have the SAME length D.S., with a 4" lift I think mine was 56-58" (single t.c.), I also believe those models had a 2 piece rear d.s. with a 'center bearing (crap),I HAVE a C/V rear D.S. for an extra cab efi 5spd, single 1 piece, used about 1 year and retubed, then parted the truck (tipped on side/crushed), if interested 120.00 obo plus shipping from 93065 CA Stew
95 4 runner. 4 cyl dual ultimate w. R150.  V6 rear w spool.  New Chevy springs on 12" extended frame.      Front.  SAS w chromoly shafts.  And spartan    In frazier park ca 93225
