L50 bell housing to W56 transmission?
« on: Sep 19, 2020, 11:46:44 AM »
I bought a marlin crawler rebuilt W56 to replace my L50 transmission on my 81 longbed, I’m going to be using a FROR crossmember but should I use or could I use the bell housing from my L50 to save a couple inches it looks a bit shorter than the one that’s on the W56? Would it bolts up? Would it push the input shaft on the transmission too far forward?

Will not bolt up. Will not work in any way. You need the correct w or g series bellhousing.

I am running fror crossmembers on a few trucks. They are easy as can be.

Yeah man their stuff seems top-quality after checking out their site I’m also going to do the Tacoma front brake conversion as well as the rear floating axle set up.

And I’m on the hunt for a 3rz, there don’t seem to be as many laying around as the 22r but I’d like to find a somewhat cheap one that needs some help and I could just rebuild it
