Ok...so I have a Toyota Starlet and a VW TDI engine. The questions are...
- I have found a few companies that sell transmission adaptor plates for a 22r engine but I don't know what transmission to look for. So what transmission would be best (or use)for a 2wd rwd that will fit a 22R? Any useful help would be great. Thanks.

Id find a w55. Its a 5-speed trans thats the 2wd version of the popular w56. Found in mid-80 to early 90s toyota trucks and some cars. It will bolt up to a 22r no problem.

Other option would be getting an R151 bell housing (came behind 22ret factory turbos) and an R154 trans. Strong trans. Direct bolt up with factory parts.
