Not Level right to left
« on: Apr 12, 2005, 07:14:51 AM »
Currently I am running superlift 4.5 inch springs and my truck sits quite a bit lower on the passenger side.  I know that the passenger side of the truck weighs a bit more due to the battery and transfer case.  Isn't the drivers side spring mount 3/8 inch lower than the passenger side?  I am installing new Alcan rear springs and I am considering switching my front springs side to side.  Does this sound like it would be an improvement?  I would plan to install the Alcan rear first and see how it sits before making a final decision.   :help:

lift springs for toys are different in the front because of the spring perch,,yes one side is lower..did you put the springs on the wrong side?,,they should be marked left and right..Otherwise it will make it lean..

I had someone else install the springs, but I'm nearly positive that I verified the install when it was done.  I think the marks are warn off now, I will have to look again.

Well my truck sags on the drivers side, but that's because the moron who installed the springs didnt bother to add the spacer atop the drivers perch, as most springs are built the same height but if you look on our axles, the passengers side spring perch is a bit higher then the drivers side.

But yours is sag'n on the passengers side, then maybe just the springs are getting flat. If your truck has the spacer on the drivers side spring, then remove it and maybe that will help level it out.

My pile does the same thing.  Stupid All-Poo  :stopit:  springs have gone saggy like grannys  :boobs:  after a year of wheeling.  Just wheel it until the tires rub, and then buy new springs from Marlin.  Thats my plan anyway...
