New'b!
« on: Nov 23, 2016, 04:46:28 AM »
Hello World!

I just traded my old '85 CJ7 for a '86 FJ60! I had been mulling over my choices of ownership of a jeep vs. a toyota and finally made the move. The current setup (which is pretty much going to be static with a few changes) is stock front and rear axles (ratios that I have no clue what are but the rear axle has an ARB!), stock tcase, NV4500 tranny, and presumably a chevy 383 stroker with TBI. I literally picked this up yesterday and am very excited to ver away from full on crawler to more of an expedition rig. Future plans include: SOA with different springs (rear will probably be chevy K10 62 inchers and the front, well, still thinking about the numbers on that...), bigger tires (thinking 35-37's), full internal roll cage (which will be a whole lot harder than it was going to be on the CJ), ARB in the front, rocker lights, rocker guards, new front bumper with winch, clean up the interior (a lot), skid plate, and the possibility of switching from TBI to TPI on the ol' stroker.

Looking forward to all of the information on this forum and advise that may come.
