Did you ever figure it out?

My '85 4Runner is doing the same thing. Runs great when it's warm and dry in the summer, but runs rich and rough when it's damp and cold in the winter. I can't figure it out, tried everything like you. It think it's more of a temperature thing, not water getting in. Could the AFM need replacing?
