yes all the power in the b20 is in the top end especialls since its out of a crv would make it a vtech motor so your power doesnt kick in till what 5800rpms kinda like powerband on a 2stroke bike or quad good for goin fast but trail ridn slow not so great be a sweet swap in a drift truck

Uhh.... what? sorry not trying to be rude but crv's which the b20 is out of are low end and redline at 6300 rpm I've owned one. They never came vtec(correct spelling), you can throw a vtec head on it but like I posted it costs money its just not a simple bolt on and go like building a 20r/22r hybird. And lastly vtec is not for power its fuel eco. it stands for Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control. Most vtec cross over is 4800-5200 rpm stock, with a redline of around 7800-8200rpm but the f20c from a s2000 is 8800 on the ap1 and the ap2 was dropped to 8000.

To understand vtec it has 3 cam lobes 2 are going till you hit your cross over and it switches aslong as you have good oil pressure and the motor is warm to the 3rd rocker for more "power" but at low rpms your getting better fuel eco. Thats the basics if you really want to know I can go in to details.
