No ones said it yet, I looked in to this 3 years ago with a f20c from a s2000 with 240hp out of a 2.2l. But sadly honda motors spin backwards so what do you plan to do about that? I'm not saying you can't do it, you have to figure out how to get reverse cut gears for the trans so you don't have 5 reverse gears and 1 forward gear. Which I do not think any one sells. You could do reverse cut gears in the 3rds but thats money down the drain. A b20z out of a japan crv which would be your best bet to get with 147 stock hp and 133 ft pounds. as a toyota 22r is 108 hp and 138 foot pounds.

Now if you wanted to build a crv/vtec or b20/v as us honda guys call them. You have to put alot of money in the motor have to have a good tig welder to weld up the oil passages in the vtec head get the head tapped for oil feed, the block tapped to feed oil buy a ton of parts. If you wanted to put cams in the motor you need new pistons because the valves drop lower and will hit the pistons if you adjust them to much. So to build a reliable b20v you would be heres a price break down: b20 block 500 +/-, a b16 head cheapest 450-500  +/-, welding and machine work $450 +/-, all new timing belt water pump oil pump just because you'd be dumb not to 150-200, then to get ecu and a good tune $450ish depending where you go. Then you add in adapters and the fixing of the reverse ran motor and your in it over $3000.

I'd say for 3000 you can do a 3rz swap and gear and lock your truck and buy longs. If you have money to burn by all means go for it be a sweet swap to see. But when I was looking in to it at the price that I was looking at of a rod knocking s2k motor at 300 the rebuild, then sending the block to advanced with a clutch and fly wheel to have them build a one off adapter for it to bolt to a w56 money started adding up and I lost hope.
