I have some 34" bias TSLs.  They aren't really round but they sure work good and are indestructable.  I run mine on beadlocks because they came off the rim real easy without, but I don't think you will have a problem like this with the 38s.

As stated above tire pleasure is critical on the street.  Low 20s for sure.
