I've made this drive a couple dozen times, never with a slipping trans though, so I guess I'm a little nervous about getting home to where I can rebuild it, I'm looking for a crutch, not a magically bottled permanent fix. I do have towing on my insurance but that would only get me 75 miles closer of the 1400 and stuck in some highway town with my truck in the shop and me in a motel for a couple days.
