Dude it get's easier with time, seriously.. your body will stop craving those foods less and less. You will thank yourself a million times over w/ all the new found energy.
If your going to eat rice make sure it's brown rice... not white rice.. white rice is pretty bad for you. As far as fruits go, apples and bananas have alot of sugar. Raspberries, Blueberries, Strawberries and melon's have low sugar.
Also try alot of fish and wild game like elk, bison, venison. These are all low in fat, we have an organic store here called "New Earth" that carries alot of these specialty items.
Also try cutting out alot of egg yolks, just egg whites. A little salt and pepper.. they taste great. Ton's of great info online, there's a web-site called Diabetic Life that has ton's of great low carb meals.
