It is a sweet round. It's a .404 Jeffery case necked down for a .308 bullet so the 308 has alot of 
behind it.
I'm thinkin about goig with a night force optics or another leupold since I have a leupold on my 270
Yeah dad had one once. It was nice and flat shootin too. The STW is a 8mm Magnum with a 7mm in it. Night Force are great scopes but so are Leupold. I have a Leupold VX III on my Ruger No. 1 and its a nice piece.
