I love running heims over TRE's.  Way easier to remove the heims from the steering arms when working on the frontend.  You can also run missalignment spacers under them to gain some clearance between the tie rod & the leaf spring.  I'm running heims on the tie rod and using the FJ80 TRE on the drag link.  I might redo the drag link sometime to change them out to heims.  I still plan on running a TRE on the pitman arm side of the drag link.  My brother ran a hiem on the pitman arm side and he had some steering issues.
