I have welded rear with stock 4.38's in my 80. Now that I have it tagged and am driving it on the street more I hate it and will be looking to get a locker of some kind in the near future. When I mostly drove it on the trail I loved it because it never faild, 100% traction to both wheels 100% of the time. Just depends on how much you drive it on pavement.
4.38's? what kind of truck do you have? is it a 4cyl or v6 housing?
