I'm also gonna start with a 6 leaf pack consisting of stock rears from an 87 4runner and a 89 extra cab pick up.
thats exactly what I used, it seems that the springs from the 89 are a bit softer, Dont worry about getting to much lift. I barely trimmed anything off my fenders, and I was running the same tires you are.
