I don't know if they are any taller, They should be on the same carcus.  They will be lighter for sure but the sx have good side lugs which imho are super important in the rocks.
I really like my 36" SX's and would recommend them to anyone, just looking for something a little bigger, I am still somewhat considering the 38" sx, but Interco has them being a little smaller.

I have a set of them on some 15x8 rims on my 4runner and have had really good luck with them. I got them pretty much worn down to the wear bars. I grooved all of them and my only traction issues are trying to climb muddy granite ledges. I am always on the hunt to find another used set. I usually run the pressure down between 6 or 8psi on dry trail and haven't blown a bead yet.  On the street i usually run about 20psi. The only down side to these tires are that they don't work well for me in the snow, but again, I don't have much rubber on them left.
Thats good to hear any pics of your rig?
