slid the back half into the front half, fully plug welded, then fully butt welded. Bob's your uncle!

for added strength, im going to be putting one of my rock slider mounting points right overtop of the seam

got the back of the frame chopped too. welded in my rear crossmember. im going to build a mini frame for the gas tank to sit in. im not sure how im going to attach it though... might drill a few holes in the bottom of this crossmember, and then weld some threaded steel plate, or even a nut to the bottom to hold the tank in place

finished welding the top of the shock hoop today. next time i flip the frame over, ill weld the bottom
