Rebuilding a engine can be fun, but it is alot of work and expensive. I rebuilt my 22RE after the 2 previous engines blow up. The rebuilt kit from LC was $1200 and I spent $800 at the machine shop (torque plate bored, head milled, block decked, magnaflux, and some head work).
