you could have 6 transfercases and never break a gear in your transmission because the torque doesnt get multiplied till it reaches the first/second tcase
exactly. it's like saying there's more force on your motor in 1st gear vs 2nd gear. the only thing that get's affected is what's behind it. except axle gears, that's a bit different
