I have to agree with Wenhar (imagine that) the driveshaft can move sounds though it making you think it is one thing when actually it is somewhere else. I like you, thought my tcase was having an issue but came to find that the pinion nut had come loose or the crush sleeve had failed and made the nut loose and was allowing my pinion gear to drop down and rub the gears against the carrier. On acceleration the pinion would lift off the carrier but when coasting it would ride against it causing noise and vibration when driving.
