Try looking for a crack in the air tube between the air box and the throttlebody. Had a similar problem one time at Moab. Expansion/ contraction of worn plastic. Fixed with a few wraps of electrical tape.
This problem is that there is more air getting sucked in at idle than the Mass Airflow Sensor (in the airbox) is detecting, engine leans out and stalls.
