I ran 5.29 gears with 36" tires never had a problem and I was able to use 5th gear.
Maybe not the best MPG at 16.5 with heavy tires and rims (H1's and 36 hummer tires).
RPM's were around 2800-3000 W56 transmission/20R engine. Moderate wheeling.
Way better then the 4.37's and 5th gear was useless.
