I used to tow my toy hauler up a wash that was very soft sand in most places, granted this was an F350 towing a trailer very different than a Toyota but the old BFG muds aired down a bit worked awesome better than the AT's for me anyway. Not sure how the new style MT will work but the Pro comp MT is pretty close to the old BFG muds. I hear good things about the Procomp AT in the sand as well.
