I'm running a 22re with a header k&n intake kit and exhaust, i turn 35s just fine with 4.10s. but some times its a pia I will be regearing to 4.88s because i do alot of long trips. I would say to go to 5.29s with a 22r then worry about header and stuff later, what state are you in because there is limits to what header you can get and the ones that are smog legal if your in cali are $$$ which could be spent other places for more power such as cam which they can't see.
