Could you guys clarify a little bit? What do you mean by 'the lockout on the side'? The motor? Hubs?

im assuming he meant the lockout hub.  I had the same problem with my rear e-locker.  turns out the locker motor was not sliding the locking fork over far enough to lock the axles together.  try pulling the locker motor off the 3rd member. then with the motor plugged in, flip the switch and unlock it.  while the motor is off the third, make sure the shift fork in the third is slid all the way over to the unlock position. then put the motor back on and see if it works.  basically the shift fork needs to be perfectly in sync with the gear on the motor in order for it to lock and unlock properly
