Yeah.  Mine grabbed like a drowning child the first 500 miles, then was perfectly well behaved.  Well, expect that it was on/off(you commit and hit the gas NOW or else it flat out stalls on you), but my old Mercedes had a similar clutch feel, so I was used to it.   I personally liked mine.  Plenty of people here do as well, so a slightly used clutch will still be worth something in the FS section. 

And, yes, it did stall on me shifting from 2nd to 3rd once.  Not mistake-friendly.
