Re: Dual case confusion

I have an 85 truck with a single 4.7 (fwd shift) transfer case.  Can I do the topshift conversion and then bolt a crawl box in front?  I know that the 4.7 gears need to be in the rear case to minimize the torque in the rear case.  Is the install as simple as it looks?  I have bucket seats and it look like I just need to punch a hole for the additional shifter, install Marlin's x-member and have the driveshafts modified.  I have the stock center bearing that I would be bypassing, do I need to do anything special with the rear driveshaft or differential?
Yeah that's the same thing I did, 4.7 forward shift converted to top and 2.28 top shift converted to forward :turtle:
Sounds like more tree huggin hippie bull :pokinit:
