I personally, have never seen a pro racer's vehicle use pipe. I believe there is a reason for it. Reasons like, pipe does not have as high of yield as DOM tubing. NASCAR does not use pipe, SCORE does not use pipe. If I took my truck to a shop and they bent me a cage with an exhaust bender, a pipe bender or used pipe on my cage or even HREW, I would throw freakin' fit. I'd be up their butt so far I'd tickle the back of his throat. No way in hell I'd pay for that crap.

Roll cage material must be 1 3/4"o.d. round mild steel tubing by .095" minimum wall thickness or 1 3/4" o.d. black iron pipe by .125" wall thickness.
pipe is used on nascars.. only if u want to  :idiot:
