Im from the Monterey bay area and we just went down to the dmv and told them we wanted to switch it to green sticker. They had to verify 2 vin numbers on the truck and then we got it. It was still kind of a pain in the ass, but it is possible. (The guy they sent out to verify the vin numbers had glasses a 1/4" thick and still couldn't see
