I've been driving a 3rd gen extended cab with a 3.0 for 10 years now.It hasnt been a terrible motor but I still regret not waiting to buy one with a 22-RE .They are alot more reliable and cheaper to build.If you get a 3.0 to run duals you'll have to get a 3.0 to 4 cylinder adaptor plate and it's just alot more $$
