id stay away from the toyota 4cyl trans, personally. lol
and the auto can be mechanically controlled like a manual.
in the long run its cheaper.... keep in mind... its the same block as the 5.7L 350 V8.. so same bolt pattern. so any manual that will bolt to the 5.7L will bolt to the 4.3L. might be a few little tweaks.
