I'd go with the turbo any day of the week. Sure the turbo makes some heat but not the monster it's made out to be. I've owned a few in stock form 6 to 7 lbs of boost coming in about 1500 to 1800 pretty reliable. I am in the process of building a new mud drag truck with a stocker just turning up the boost abit running megasquirt ecm in an 83 maybe injectors depends on dyno. I can still run stock 4 banger class on up to mod v8 and b competitive nothing better than taking a $2500 truck and spanking a guy that has that or more in just his motor.
