You do not need a solid axle DC, do this mod to your IFS CV and it will have more angle then the SA CV.

It has single IFS front u-joints, the bottom one is machined to accept a massive slip joint that is over 14" long. The front IFS single joints have the most angle of any Toyota single joint. Why I do not know, but they do.
I never ran shims when I was single case, I only ran shackles that were 4.5-bolt hole to bolt hole. When I first did the SAS I had 6" bolt hole to bolt hole shackles and I had a slight bind on full droop on the PS side. When I change the shackles, it moved the pinion up about nine degrees and that was more then enough to stop the binding.
