You don't have any signs of it having a blown head gasket right?  I'm thinkin not since you said it started happening after you replaced the wires and plugs, but you never know.  No pressurizing of the coolant system, milky oil, did you do a compression test?  Also, really make sure the plug wires are all the way seated on the plugs.
