I just bought a set of the Kuhmo Road Venture AT KL78s at the recommendation of a friend. He's got 50,000 miles on his, and they still look great, still plenty of deep tread. His are on a F350, and he regularly tows a 28' flatbed gooseneck, or an enclosed motorcycle trailer with 6 or so bikes in it, with a cabover in the bed.
I had mine put on just a few weeks ago, then drove from Reno to CO Springs and back. On the way out there, I hit a storm and was driving through up to 2' of snow on the roads. Tires did great, with nary a slip or slide. They're pretty quiet on the road, and do great in dirt and gravel as well. haven't had them in mud, and they're on a tow rig so they won't see much rock, but I'm very happy with them.
Plus, they're $157 a tire for the 315/70R17s from tirerack.com
