Here is the kicker. If you don't have health insurance, you will be fined 2.5% of you income or $695.00 per year, whatever is more. Its done on your yearly income tax so if you fail to do it there would also be income tax evasion issues. If you have a "Cadillac" plan (extremely good plan) provided to you by your employer your employer will be taxed 40% of its cost yearly. This translated into your employer lowering your health benefits because I can't see any company paying this much in taxes for each employee. Exclude from this is 40% tax is of course Union employers, members of Congress, and government employees. They get to keep their Cadillac plans at our expense.
Ultimately what will happen is small businees owners will eliminate all employees and call them sub-contractors, leaving you to find health insurance on your own.
