homedepot sell a pretty cheap mig up here i jus bought one im in the same boat you are jus grad last year lost my job and have 2 trucks in the process of being built  the welder i had in mind was a mig pack 125 110 plug and it rund .035 flux core wire so its jus like a stick you have to chip the slag off and wire brush it but im using it for my sas so i think it works pretty good.. i think the cheapest one they sell is like 350 but they go on sale all the time since were pretty much in the middle of nowhere they gotta get rid of em for newer models ill look next time im up there i think i paid like 250 for mine last summer would be a good investment if ya got a little bit of $$$ to spare i could ship it to your door
