I finally pulled the t-case and the gaskets between the adapter and the tranny are brittle. Same with the t-case to adapter gasket. The gear oil has a strong burnt smell. Some of the bolts had an ashy residue on the ends and some were clean The interior looks good and everything moves well. The exterior is black but this wipes off easily with a little grease. I'm thinking that a gasket/seal kit will take care of it. Any suggestions? :-/
