My '04 3rz came with a EGR system, but when I changed to a 2001 2rz harness and computer, there was no connectors for the EGR stuff, so I just capped it off. I was pretty scepticle about the 2001 not having EGR, but I confirmed it at work. I'm going to try and smog it as a 2001. wish me luck....
BTW, with a 2001 Evap system, you only need one line back to the gas tank - the evap canister sits under the hood. On a 2002 and newer, the evap canister is by the gas tank and requires modifying your gas tank to work. I just used the stock evap line and exteded it to the canister on the driver's side fender well.
