Did you get it figured out yet? Don't give up! Did you check the fuel pressure? Maybe a bad fuel pump? The lean plugs kinda point to that, along with the cutting out under load. The best way to figure this out is to get a chiltons manual for the motor and your truck and check out how the previous owner wired it in. How did he merge the truck wiring with the engine wiring to make it all work. Your going to have to go over everything like you did the install.
no i havnt figured it out yet. i havnt even touched it for a couple days. i had to order a new cps cap and seal from toyota, it should be here tomorrow. once i get that put on i'm going to work on it some more. Its actually running VERY rich now. i run it for a couple minutes and there is a pile of soot on the floor from the exhaust pipe. I need to check my coolant temp sensor because i know it can cause a rich condition. I am also going to take the intake pipe completely off and check it very thouroughly for cracks. Un-metered air coming in through a crack in the intake pipe can cause serious problems. Dont worry man, i wont be giving up anytime soon! you have the 22re-t 4runner right?
