Re: 87 4Runner in CO-->super-duper slow build

Been checking on parts for a dual set-up; here's the list so far:
2 cases, forward to top shift conversions if needed
4.7s with 23 splines all around
MC 07 (why is the MC 08 $300 more?)
crossmember
driveshaft work
busted knuckles and lost bolts.

Can I run 4.7s in both cases or is that just too low or a waste of gears and time? I figured out I'll have to chop the floor for this, modification is my middle name. I'm sure a ton of my questions will be answered once I actually get parts; I'm a physical kind of thinker, I need to have the stuff in front of me to figure it out. Since there's a bunch of late-model Toys at the yard, can two forward-shift cases be used as duals? I'm guessing yes but with a top-shift conversion deal.
