Thanks for the help guys. It was my first time taking apart something like this(an intake adapter to an aftermarket carb?!) I've learned my lesson about aluminum now. If i do jb weld the spacer plate, how critical is it that the welded surface in the fuel chamber is completely flat, smooth, and contoured with the rest of the chamber?
