thanks for the quick response  guys i was hoping i wouldn't have to pull the cases apart but oh well.  i'll try and get that done this weekend and report back to you guys 

cool lets me know... you can grab your shifter and put it in low range (when the cases are apart) and then you have a little more play in it push the shifter to were it will not move anymore and grind it flush with the case... make sure you dont grind the case though or there will be a chance of it leaking... good luck and post some pics!!!
