yep, the metal ones are the only way to go. my buddy picked up an 87 runner last week. he got it for 400 bucks because there was water/coolant in the oil. we pulled the timing cover off last night and because of broken timing chain guides and a streched chain, the chain wore a hole completely through the timing cover. it was so bad we could poor water into the radiator and it would immediately run right out the oil pan drain!
